My husband + I purchased our first home together this year in March, + we loved the location but the house was a bit tricky. Not only was it far too small, but the home’s floorplan had been split into two separate units. This meant two kitchens, two entrances, + no staircase connecting the two levels. This is not such a friendly layout for a family of 5!

Through divine luck, Instagram’s algorithm, + my obsession with following renovation accounts, I stumbled on the mythical unicorn that is Katrina + Jesse. I asked her to turn our disjointed floorplan back into one cohesive home. I also wanted Katrina to help me with our future plans for an extension to the home, that would be completed in about 2 years’ time. Katrina did not bat an eye lid (at what I thought was a seemingly impossible task!).
 

The Reno Life makes me believe in little miracles. Katrina is nothing short of a floorplan visionary. We now have a perfectly thought out layout for our dream home – thank you Katrina! The best thing is, not only do we have a floorplan that will work now, but also in the future and for years’ to come. The rework of the existing structure’s footprint + the extension for our stage 2 works was delivered with no additional rework, this means there will be zero wastage of time, materials or money!

If you are thinking about engaging this power couple, here’s some advice, just act! Katrina is an expert! And honestly, I feel like I’ve benefited far too much considering their prices (so thank you Katrina!).

Thanks to Katrina and Jesse, we now have a clear picture of our planned renovations for both the existing dwelling + the future extension, we also have peace of mind knowing the home will work now + in the years’ to come.
